We specialise in traditional sash windows also known as box sash windows with elegant proportions to enhance period properties.

Our replacement sash windows come with either traditional cords and weights or modern spiral sprung balance mechanisms.  

Law & Lewis sash windows are designed to enhance the original features of heritage buildings combined with modern energy efficiency and high spec performance.

Traditionally sliding sash windows in the UK have been single glazed, but we offer a greater range of options dependent on your requirements.   For sliding sash windows in conservation areas we have conservation approved slimlite and sashlite double glazing which is a thinner unit, 12mm overall thickness with a 5mm sightline.   These are face puttied externally with dry seal compound and fixed into solid 18mm glazing bars.

For timber sash windows without conservation requirements, we use 'A' rated double glazed or triple glazed units with plant on glazing bars.

Most sash windows are traditionally finished white but our timber sash windows can also be factory finished in any colour or a dual colour (please note, dual colour does incur an additonal cost).
